Caregiver Support

Caring for someone with Alzheimer's disease is not easy. It can be hard on your body and cause a lot of stress. A lot of caregivers have times when they feel tired and overwhelmed. In fact, caregivers have a high risk of depression and other sickness when compared with others. Those with little or no help from family and friends have the highest risk.

It may help to get treatment for your loved one's symptoms. Aricept is the only treatment proven effective for all stages of Alzheimer's—mild, moderate, and severe. Studies showed Aricept treats Alzheimer's symptoms, slowing the loss of overall function and improving cognition.

It may also help to remind yourself that you do not have to do it all. Getting help when you need it can help relieve stress. There are things you can do to help manage your loved one’s care. And this may lessen the burden you may feel.
